betsey johnson = ah-dorable!

ok so my mom and i went to the mall today to look at more dresses (:D) and of course, we had to go into the betsey johnson boutique. you know, i used to think that betsey's over-the-top designs were a little too much, but my tastes have (obviously) changed! so okay, as we were walking in the store i saw the most adorable dress EVERRRRR!!!!! ok since i couldnt find a picture online i'll attemt to describe it:

baby doll, above the knee, huge cream/white bow covering the chest, spaghetti straps. black skirt area thing (?), sheer tuell or something covering some other black fabric i cant remember (i never do) ....

so yeah sounds pretty cute, huh? well, i tried it on with some super-high black heels with pink embroidered flowers all over them (i know it sounds too random, but it somehow worked ..... lol) and you know what? i felt pretty. GASP!!!!

but you know what REALLY sucks? we didnt get it! not even the beautiful shoes (that made me about 4 inches taller!) of course, i cant complain much, because i had already found a beautiful gunne sax jessica mcclintock dress at terry costa. oh, and also because it was a tiny bit too expensive. you know, only about 335$!!! *my dad falls over with a heart attack*

trust me, i am NOT trying to imply that the dress was overpriced! nuh-uh girlfriend! it was beautifully made and fit me great! if only i was rich!

so, we ended up leaving the mall (noooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!), stopping off at the 6.99 shoestore (woo cheap flats!!!!!!!), stopped at brook mays to see if they had any cello strings (no such luck), and then set off to terry costa to get the goregous dress i tried on yesterday.

oh i almost forgot!!!!!!!!! we were looking for a vintage clutch to carry to the dance, so we hit up the estate sales in the "rich" (heh heh) part of town. well, we didnt see a single clutch, but i did get some great belts for a quarter each!!!!! the lady that had them was a size two (omg and she was like, not in seventh grade........ WAY not in seventh grade if you know what i mean!) so im really lucky that the belts were made of that super elastic stuff, so they'll work. we also got some great gloves for no apparent reason and some cool old opera books to decoupage, decorate with, or even.........READ!!!! ehmigawd!

ok well now that you know what i did all day, i hope to hear some comments! (lol? no, lqtm-laugh quietly to myself!)

oh! but wait there's more!!!!!! i forgot to say that i saw my friends from my old dance studio at terry costa! lol its a small world (i guess...... hee hee)
