le dance!

sorry i havent posted in awhile.... my internet has been super screwy.

well saturday was the dance, and it was absolutly awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

here's how it went:

4:30- mallory, christine, lauren, and all their parents met at my house, while kamy, derrick, and ofen met at blake's to wait for the arrival of the LIMO!!!

4:45ish- the limo arrives!!! mal, christine, lauren, and i go outside, in the tornado-esque wind and try not to trip and fall down the front stairs of my house to the shiny white limo sitting outside our front door. we then leave to go to cantina laredo for an early dinner.

5:10ish- we arrive at cantina laredo. the food was already pre-ordered, so we didnt have to mess with that, and we all got virgin margaritas (mango flavored-yum!). blake attempted to talk about important-grown-up sounding things when he asked how much christine's air costed. *laughter*

5:45ish- me, lauren, christine, and mallory run to the restroom to "pat our noses". there's a group of young girls in there dressed up in puffy dresses and fairy wings that ask if we're going to prom. *laughter*

6:00- we leave cantina laredo to circle around town 700 times because the dance doesnt start for another hour and a half (we suck at planning).

7:25- we pull up to the school only to find that other people also rented limos. grrr. we are cussed out by a number of short sixth graders who think they're cool. *laughter*

7:28- the limo driver gets out the red carpet and rolls it out for us. and here's something that suprised everyone - mostly me - I DIDNT TRIP AND FALL WHEN I GOT OUT OF THE LIMO!!!!!!!!!!!! *everyone gasps* cameras flash as we all tumble out of our oh so hollywood-wanna-be-esque trasport. we waltz strait up to the school like we own the place, only to have to turn back around for pictures. :D

7:35- we get inside the dance, and party like it's 1999!

10:00- the dance is over, but the party's not! all the people that were in the limo, as well as angela, davy, erika, and nels head back to my house to eat miniature quiches (i cant spell heh heh), play with my dad's new arcade game, act like we're cool and have some fondue, and play sharades.

2:00 am- everyone leaves. the house is quiet except for the television blaring the last 20 minutes of poultergiest (i still cant spell). i fall asleep in the loveseat.

so, the night was grand! simple as that. but with all that excitement yesterday, i still feel like i should be getting ready to go party with someone, even though it's a school night. it's so boring not having something huge to do in the next couple of days.

here comes the long stretch of boredom ahead.........
