ehhh this whole deal has really made everything awakward! me and blake used to talk all the time, even before we went out, and now its like .........? ugh!
but enough of that. i would show you some of the clothes i got when i want shopping, but blogger's picture uploader pisses me off.
so, i'll just bore you with some random thoughts of mine.
one of the blogs on my links list (im feeling too lazy to look and see which one) said something about fashion that really made me think. it was something along the lines of "if people wearing daring outfits that aren't in abercromie and fitch are cool, then why arent the people weraing socks with sandals cool?" i apologize if i completly missed the point of whoever's post that was (it was late and i was tired) but i really like this subject.
i know a certain girl that really doesnt care what people think of her. no, i do not mean that in a bad way, i mean it in an original kinda way.
well, she always comes to school in the craziest outfits. and no, i do not mean fun-punk-rhinestone crazy, i mean completely bad crazy. one of her favorite ensembles is leopard print leggings/legwarmers/tights/sweats (i really dont know what they are), and a green/blue striped shirt.
i know what you're thinking. "oh she's about to bash on that poor girl. she is so mean. just because someone has a different sense of style......" blah blah blah.
and that's exactly what i wouldve thought about myself as well. but i dont. individuality is a wonderful thing. we shouldnt take it for granted. her way of being original, is showing off her crazy-kookie side in her clothes.
i used to hate what she wore, almost every day. trust me she is a beautiful person, inside and out. but i just couldnt see through that. but recently, ive decided to stop being like that. superficial and materialistic.
truthfully, i like those leopard-pant-like-things, and i just couldnt pull it off myself. yeah, i wouldve worn a different shirt with the leopard-pant-like-things, but hey, shes being herself.
and i love that!
i think one of the reasons i used to despise those pants, was because they werent the cool, new, hip thing to wear. i'll bet you that in the "future"some famous designer is going to look at some leopard print pants one day and say "now those are hott!" hey it might even be me (not saying that im gonna be a super-famous designer, but you never know...!)! but just because they arent on the runways, doesnt mean they arent awesome. it just means that the runways havent experienced them yet.
fashion: it is a first impression to some, a statement to others. it shouldnt be about whats "hot" right now. it should be about what you feel hot in. and hey if that's a pair of leopard-pant-like-things, then go for it! it is individual. it is fun! :D

Lol, I'm hyper. But you can quote me on the first thing, I say that all the time. I'll say it again, with fancy quotes!
"Cool is not a fashion statement. It's a temperature between COLD and WARM!" - Alexa
Dang, kiddo - that made yo momma so proud!
Now that I've embarrassed you I'll have to go buy you some new shoes to go with the clothes we got on Monday. Oh, wait, isn't it materialistic and shallow to reward good behavior with presents? Perhaps we'd better go do some volunteer work instead. I'm sure you'd like that better, right?
