ohhhh the pain! the AGONYYYYYYYY!

i hate TAKS. it is the spawn of satan. ha.
no really its pure evil.
for all of the lucky ones reading this that dont have to take any special tests to go on to the next grade, i shall describe the horrors of TAKS.
TAKS stands for the Texas Assesment of Knowledge and Skills . for the 8th grade, we have to take 4 tests total - math, reading, science, and social studies. to take these tests, we are shoved in a room for 2 1/2 hours. the tests are usually about 45-55 questions, and such questions usually have no importance for the subject in which we are taking the tests. when we finish, we are allowed to a) read b) sleep (?!) c) stare off into space. the teachers are required to stand over you like hawks and make sure you're doing everything right while you're taking the test.

we had to take the math TAKS today..... and i actually had a question about a lampshade shown from the top. oh dear god what are they on?

ok now that thats all out, here's some good news to hopefully brighten your day! : \... (it looks like hes drooling! aha! i made a new smiley! perfect for TAKS! HUZZA!)

i made a 1 (superior) on my solo, and also a 1 for our ensemBLEEEEHHHHH for solo and ensemble. HURRAY!
after the 2 1/2 hours of boredom we got to pretty much do nothing in school for the rest of the day. actually, im not so sure this is a good thing, because i was falling asleep..... no, thats a good thing. yep, definitly good.
after school me and my mom went swimsuit shopping to get me one for this summer and the pool party at our school. its really cute! it has a white and blue polka-dotted top with a metal-like ring in the front, and blue and white polka-dotted bottoms with a little tie thing around the waist. i may put some charms of little anchors and pirate-y things on the ring... cause im cool like that.
and other than TAKS, i had a really good day! it all just kinda fell into place. wierd, but im not complaining! :D

so.... yeah! that was my day, in summary. woohoo.
